Biography

Amaunet was one of the parasitical Goa'uld. She reached full maturity around 1996, and the system lord Apophis chose her to become his new queen. She was implanted in the Abydonian Sha're, the wife of Daniel Jackson. While Apophis' queen, Amaunet and Apophis chose to break with Goa'uld law and use their hosts to bear a human child. Such a child would retain the genetic knowledge, making him a superior new host for Apophis. However, just after the birth, Daniel Jackson and Teal'c managed to obtain the child and secret him away, convincing Amaunet that Apophis' rival Heru'ur had taken the child. Once Apophis had been defeated and imprisoned by Sokar, Amaunet went to Heru'ur hoping to retrieve her child. When she discovered that Heru'ur didn't have him, she allied with Heru'ur and used his forces to seek out the child. She eventually found the child in the care of some Abydonians. She captured the Abydonians and sent her child with a trusted Jaffa nursemaid to Kheb. Several SG teams attacked her forces and rescued the Abydonians. During the battle, Amaunet very nearly killed Daniel Jackson with a hand device. However, Teal'c intervened and killed Amaunet, along with her host, Sha're.
